Heat-Tracker Solutions and Products

A key symptom of COVID-19 is a fever. Effective screening of patients by taking their body temperature can help figure out who is at risk. This can ensure an area is infection-free.

Manual testing can cause many problems. It takes extra manpower, slows down entrances and exits, increases risk of cross-infection, and is a risk for the inspectors. The solution to this is heat trackers. Thermographic cameras, temperature management facial recognition terminals, and temperature measurement gates can be helpful in counteracting this. Their advantages are they are more secure, efficient, and convenient.

Two technologies use heat recognition software. The first one is an embedded thermometer. Their measuring field is high with a distance of within 1m. Their NETD is 200-300mK. The cost is normal. The second type is thermal imaging. They have high accuracy with a distance of within 10m. The NETD is 30-50mK. They are high budget machines for government, airport, and station buildings. Everything in nature with a temperature above absolute zero (-273 ℃) radiates thermal heat. The detected infrared radiation by thermal cameras intensity is related to the temperature of the object radiating the heat.

Questions and Answers

Q: How many people can be scanned simultaneously?
A: The 2MTHBB-4030 model can scan up to 20 faces at the same time.

Q: Does 2MTHBB-3828 work with 2M Technology NVR or CMS?
A: The camera does not work 2M Technology’s NVR or CMS applications; 2MTHBB-3828 can only be used with its own computer client software. 1 client station with software thermal detector software loaded on it can only manage 1 thermal camera at a time. Please refer to the camera spec sheets for the recommended computer/laptop specs.

Q: Can thermal scanners be used outdoors?
A: It is recommended to do the scanning in a closed environment. To avoid higher temperature variations and drastic temperature changes, cameras should not be mounted close to entrance/exit door, air conditioning/heating outlets, glass, and other mirror reflectors, direct lighting, etc.
