The 2MEPT04-8M40X explosion-proof PTZ camera is designed for use in hazardous areas where flammable gases and explosive dusts are present. It meets Class II, T1–T6 standards and is certified for operation in Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2 gas areas, as well as Zone 20, Zone 21, and Zone 22 dust environments. These certifications ensure safe and reliable performance in critical industries such as refineries, oil extraction, gas recovery, fireworks production, food processing and storage, and fuel stations.
Built to endure the harshest conditions, the enclosure carries an explosion-proof rating of Exd IIC T6 Gb / ExtD A21 IP66 T80°C, providing robust protection against both gas and dust ignition hazards. Additionally, the device meets an IP68 ingress protection rating, ensuring complete resistance to dust ingress and submersion in water for extended periods. The housing is constructed from high-grade 304 stainless steel, with an optional upgrade to 316L stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical or marine environments.
For flexible monitoring, the unit offers 360° horizontal rotation and a vertical tilt range of +45° to -90°, allowing comprehensive coverage of the target area. Both horizontal and vertical rotation are precisely controlled with speeds of less than 20° per second, providing smooth and stable positioning for surveillance.
Data communication is handled through a RS-485 interface, offering adjustable communication rates and customizable protocols to integrate seamlessly with various control systems.
For installation, the power supply connects via a 2-core cable, simplifying the wiring process while maintaining reliable power delivery. The device supports a range of intelligent features, including optical defog capability for maintaining visibility in adverse weather, as well as basic motion detection and area intrusion detection functions to enhance security monitoring.
In addition to standard ONVIF protocol support for system integration, the unit features ICR automatic switching to ensure clear imaging in both day and night conditions. Advanced image processing functions include backlight compensation, an automatic electronic shutter for adapting to changing light levels, 3D digital noise reduction for clearer images in low-light environments, high light suppression, electronic image stabilization, and a 120 dB wide dynamic range, providing excellent image clarity even in challenging lighting scenarios.
For operational efficiency, the system can store up to 255 preset positions and supports 8 patrol routes, allowing automated surveillance paths to be programmed for comprehensive area coverage.
