How to fix the white screen/black screen issue on Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge for Live View
Recently the new Chrome 139 version introduced a black screen/white screen problem for CCTV systems that use a plugin to live view in the Chrome browser. Below are steps that can help bypass this problem before Google releases a new version of Chrome to fix it permanently.
Step 1. Find Google Chrome File Directory

On your PC, go to the search bar and search for Chrome. Right-click on the Google Chrome software and select Open file location.
Step 2. Open Chrome Shortcut Properties

Right-click the Google Chrome shortcut icon, then select Properties from the menu.
Step 3. Add “Disable Direct Composition” Command

Go to the Shortcut tab. In the Target box, go to the very end of the text and type a single space followed by --disable-direct-composition. Click on Apply to save.
Important: Make sure there is a space right after the quotation mark and before the first dash.
Step 4. Exit Chrome via Task Manager
Close your Chrome window. To make sure it’s completely shut down, open your Task Manager and end all remaining tasks related to Google Chrome.
Step 5. Relaunch Chrome and Check Live View
Open the Chrome browser again and test your CCTV live view. The black/white screen should now be replaced by your camera feed.
