SkyCope Drone Detection on 2M Solar Trailers

2M Technology integrates SkyCope drone detection systems onto our solar-powered trailer platform — passive RF counter-UAS sensing engineered for mobile deployment, built at our Grand Prairie, TX facility. SkyCope-equipped 2M trailers are in production today: mast-mounted sensor and directional antenna on our telescoping mast, powered by the trailer’s solar array and battery bank, with cellular backhaul to your monitoring environment.

Why SkyCope on a 2M Trailer

  • Fully passive RF detection — the system emits no signals, which keeps deployment lawful for commercial facilities and invisible to drone operators
  • 360° monitoring with the most extensive drone-signature library in the industry (manufacturer-stated coverage of 450+ drone models)
  • Drone and operator localization — detection events can identify drone make/model and locate the control station, letting security respond to the pilot
  • Manufacturer-stated detection ranges up to 35 kilometers under ideal conditions; we engineer realistic coverage expectations for your actual site and RF environment
  • Open architecture / API — integration into existing video management and command-and-control environments
  • Low power draw — fits the 2M solar platform’s 400W-class array and 200–400Ah battery options with 3–5 day no-sun autonomy

What 2M Adds as the Integrator

Layer 2M Scope
Platform Galvanized solar trailer, weatherproof equipment enclosure, 18 ft (5.5 m) telescoping mast (taller options available)
Power Engineering Solar + battery sizing for the sensor payload and duty cycle, validated against Texas field conditions
Sensor Integration Mast mounting, antenna orientation, cabling, surge and environmental protection
Connectivity LTE backhaul (satellite optional) into your monitoring environment
Optional Payloads PTZ / thermal cameras with slew-to-cue, strobes, speakers — the same options as our surveillance trailers
Support Deployment, commissioning, and service from Grand Prairie, TX — nationwide delivery

Deployment Profile

Tow the trailer to site, level it, raise the mast, and the system is monitoring the surrounding airspace the same day — no trenching, no utility power, no permanent installation. When the requirement moves (an event ends, a project phase closes, a facility’s risk profile changes), the capability moves with it. For detection-only legality and what your team may do with detection data, see our counter-drone law guide; for how passive RF compares with radar and optical sensing, see the technology comparison.

Typical Deployments

SkyCope-equipped 2M trailers fit the same missions as the rest of our trailer fleet, with the airspace layer added.

In each case the detection feed integrates with the monitoring arrangement the facility already has — the trailer adds a sensor, not a new command structure.

Because the platform is shared with our production surveillance trailers, every option in that catalog applies here: PTZ and thermal cameras with slew-to-cue pointing at detected tracks, strobes and speakers for on-site deterrence, and LTE or satellite backhaul depending on site coverage. The result is one trailer that answers both questions a perimeter team asks — what is happening on the ground, and what is happening above it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both. The platform, mast, and power architecture are standardized from our production surveillance trailers; the sensor configuration, mast height, camera payload, and connectivity are engineered per deployment.

No — it is a passive receiver. The trailer’s only transmissions are its own cellular backhaul.

SkyCope publishes APIs for third-party integration, and integration engineering is 2M’s core work. Bring your environment’s details to the design conversation.

Configuration dependent — trailers are built at our Grand Prairie facility and SkyCope-equipped units are in production now. Request a quote for current scheduling.

Yes — the platform is vendor-open. See the drone detection trailer hub for the integration options we support.

Ready to Secure Your Airspace?

Deploying an effective, lawful counter-drone system doesn't require permanent infrastructure. 2M Technology's SkyCope-equipped solar trailers provide immediate, actionable, time-stamped airspace intelligence wherever your risk profile demands it. Our integration team is ready to engineer a detection solution tailored exactly to your site's RF environment and security workflows.
