Step 1. Install and initialize the software

Download the 2M Station installer and follow the on-screen prompts. Once the installation is complete, the program will ask you to create an Administrator user and a secure password. Make sure to remember these credentials, as you will need them every time you launch the application.

After logging into the software, you will see the main control panel.

Step 2. Access the Device Management menu

device management

To start adding your devices, click on the Device Management tab at the top of the interface.

Step 3. Locate your devices on the network

device management options

On the left-hand sidebar, make sure that Encoding Device is selected. If your computer is on the same network as your device(s), all available online devices will be listed automatically at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4. Use “Quick Add” to add your device

This is the fastest method to get your system up and running. Look at the Online Device list at the bottom of the window. Check the box next to your device and click Add. Your device should show an Online status.

Step 5. Use “Manual Add” to add your device

You can also add an online device manually. Click Add next to Managed Device. A new window will open where you can enter the details of your device:
• Device Name: can be any name for your device
• IP/Domain: local or public IP address of NVR
• Port: port number of NVR
• Username: username of NVR
• Password: password of NVR
After inputting all the correct information, click Add again. The device should now come online.

Step 6. Use the “P2P method” to set up remote viewing

Another method to add a device is by using the P2P method. This will allow you to view your cameras from a different location (off-site). On the left-side menu, select Cloud Device instead of Encoding Device.

Step 7. Log into your Star4Live account

Click Login to log into your Star4Live account (this is the same account you use for the 2M Guard mobile app). Once logged in, your devices should appear on the screen.

Note: It may take a minute or two for the status to switch from Offline (Connecting…) to Online.

Step 8. Launch Live View and arrange your cameras

Once your devices are added, return to the main menu and click Live View. Your active devices will appear in a list on the left. You can click and drag the NVR name directly into the viewing grid to load all cameras at once.

If you don’t want to add all cameras and only specific ones, click the plus (+) icon next to the device to expand the list of all cameras connected to the NVR. You can then click and drag individual camera feeds into any window in the live view grid.
