Step 2. Access Device Management

Once logged in, click on the Device Management tab from the main control panel. On the left-hand sidebar, ensure that Encoding Device is selected. Any devices that are online and on the same network as the computer will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Select a method to add your NVR
Depending on your needs, you can add your devices using one of the following methods.
Method A: Quick Add (Local Network)
The first method for adding an online device is fairly simple. If your computer and NVR are on the same network, they will appear at the bottom under the Online Device list.
1. Find your NVR in the Online Device list.
2. Check the box next to the NVR name.
3. Click Add.
Method B: Manual Add
The second method to adding an online device is to manually add it.
1. Click Add next to the Managed Device section.
2. Another window will open where you can input the details of your device:
–Device Name → can be any name for your device
–IP/Domain → local or public IP address of NVR
–Port → port number of NVR
–Username → username of NVR
–Password → password of NVR
3. After entering all of the correct information, click Add. The device should come online.
Method C: P2P Setup

Another method to add a device is by using the P2P method, which allows you to view cameras from any offsite location.
1. In the Device Management tab, select Cloud Device instead of Encoding Device.
2. Click Register to create a Star4Live account. If you already have an account, Login to show the devices you have previously added.
3. After logging in, it will take a minute or two for the devices to show online. At first, it will say Offline (Connecting…), but eventually the status will show Online.
Step 4. Launch Live View

After adding all of your devices, return to the main menu and select Live View. Your online devices will be listed in the left-hand panel. To load all cameras, click and drag the NVR name directly into the grid.
If you want to view specific feeds, click the plus (+) icon next to your device to expand the list of cameras connected to the NVR. From this list, you can click and drag individual cameras into specific windows on your live view screen.
