A lane drop arm turnstile is a highly efficient, minimalistic optical speed gate that uses a single motorized horizontal arm to regulate pedestrian flow. Upon credential authorization, the stainless steel arm drops swiftly down into the cabinet housing to completely clear the pathway, raising back into position once the person passes through. Because the physical barrier consists of only one slender arm, these units provide an incredibly open, unobtrusive footprint that blends perfectly into high-end corporate lobbies, museums, and modern commercial offices. Like other optical turnstiles, they utilize advanced infrared sensors to detect tailgating and monitor directional movement. When configured with brushless motors, lane drop arm turnstiles can support wider 900 mm clearances to seamlessly accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and delivery carts.
