Features
Securing large areas like parking lots, transportation hubs, and critical infrastructure can be a major challenge. When you need to monitor a wide perimeter but also require the ability to zoom in on specific incidents, a standard camera setup often falls short. The 2MPIP-4KIR25025X dual-lens PTZ camera by 2M Technology is engineered to solve this exact problem.
Designed with a dual-channel, single-IP architecture, this unit provides both an overall panoramic view and a highly detailed PTZ view at the exact same time. This ensures your security team never loses sight of the big picture while tracking a specific target.
Two Powerful Lenses in One Housing
This intelligent camera boasts two high-powered 8MP lenses to handle demanding surveillance tasks.
-
Channel 1 (Panorama): Acts as your wide-area observer, utilizing a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor with a fixed 4 mm lens to capture a broad field of view.
-
Channel 2 (Detail): Serves as your precision tracker, featuring a 1/1.2-inch CMOS sensor paired with a powerful 25X optical zoom and a focal length of 10 to 250 mm.
To provide an even wider monitoring range, the camera supports dual-lens video splicing within a single channel.
Advanced Illumination and Optical Defog
Outdoor environments rarely offer perfect lighting. Both lenses utilize LightHunter low-light imaging to capture crisp color details in environments as dim as 0.0005 Lux. When conditions drop to total darkness, the camera deploys targeted illumination. The panoramic channel features warm light illumination reaching up to 30 meters (98.4 feet), while the detail channel utilizes a powerful IR illuminator that extends up to 250 meters (820.2 feet). To cut through poor weather conditions, the detail channel also supports optical defog, while the panoramic channel utilizes digital defog.
Intelligent AI Analytics
To help automate your security workflow, this dual-lens PTZ camera features a robust suite of smart intrusion prevention tools. It can automatically detect cross line violations, general intrusions, and targets entering or leaving designated areas. To reduce alert fatigue, it uses advanced false alarm filtering to classify and track humans, motor vehicles, and non-motor vehicles.
For operational insights, the detail channel supports people flow counting and crowd density monitoring. It is also capable of capturing images and collecting attribute metadata for human bodies, faces, and vehicles.
Rugged Construction and Network Compatibility
This camera is built to survive in tough industrial and public safety applications. The housing is protected by an IP66 weather rating and an IK10 anti-vandalism rating (excluding the front window), ensuring compliance with strict international IEC ingress and impact protection standards to keep out harsh weather and resist tampering. To ensure a stable image in high-vibration environments, the unit features built-in gyroscope stabilization. It operates smoothly in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F).
Integrating the camera into your existing infrastructure is highly streamlined. It supports Ultra 265, H.265, H.264, and MJPEG video compression. It also guarantees broad interoperability by supporting ONVIF integration guidelines (specifically Profile S, Profile G, Profile T, and Profile M), as well as API and SDK access.
