By merging a fixed panoramic lens with a powerful, agile PTZ tracking lens into a single unit, this camera eliminates the blind spots inherent in traditional single-lens setups. It provides security operators with an uninterrupted, wide-angle overview alongside the ability to instantly zoom in on distant subjects.
Dual-Lens System: Overview and Detail Combined
This advanced camera operates with a two-channel architecture to capture both the big picture and critical details simultaneously:
- Channel 1 (Panorama): Equipped with a 4.0 mm fixed lens and a 1/2.7″ CMOS sensor, this channel delivers a broad 91.3° horizontal field of view. It is designed for continuous, wide-area surveillance, ensuring you never lose sight of the overall scene.
- Channel 2 (Detail PTZ): Featuring an expansive 4.8 to 120 mm focal length, this channel provides an impressive 25X optical zoom. Operators can zero in on distant subjects with exceptional clarity, adapting from a 55.46° field of view down to a razor-sharp 3.09° telephoto perspective.
The two channels can be linked dynamically. When an event triggers a smart intrusion prevention rule on the fixed panoramic lens, the PTZ channel automatically adjusts to track and record the specific target.
Uncompromised Image Quality and Low-Light Performance
Both channels capture video at a crisp 4 MP resolution (2688 × 1520) at up to 30 frames per second. Backed by LightHunter technology, the camera thrives in low-illumination environments, maintaining rich color details down to 0.0005 Lux on the panorama channel and 0.003 Lux on the PTZ channel before transitioning to IR mode.
For total darkness, the camera includes integrated infrared (IR) illuminators with a 30-meter (98 feet) range for the panorama view and a powerful 100-meter (328 feet) range for the PTZ tracking lens. Image clarity is further enhanced by 120 dB True WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), 2D/3D Digital Noise Reduction, digital defog, and heatwave reduction.
Intelligent Analytics and Event Management
The 2MPIP-4MIR25X is equipped with robust, edge-based artificial intelligence to optimize monitoring and reduce false alarms:

- Facial and Flow Analytics: Supports face detection within masked areas (selecting the best captured snapshots automatically), alongside people flow counting and crowd density monitoring.
- Active Deterrence: Features integrated sound and light warnings to deliver highly visible, real-time alerts to deter intruders the moment a rule is breached.
- Exception Detection: Monitors for scene changes, object removal, and objects left behind.
Enterprise-Grade Hardware and Connectivity
Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the camera features an IP66 weather-proof housing and supports an extreme working temperature range of −40∘C to 65∘C (−40∘F to 149∘F). It also boasts 6 KV surge protection.
For data storage and networking, it includes a MicroSD slot supporting up to 512 GB for edge recording, a fast 10M/100M Ethernet interface, 2/1 alarm inputs/outputs, 1/1 audio inputs/outputs, a built-in speaker, and an RS485 serial port. Powering the device is highly flexible, accepting either DC 12 V or standard PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) with a maximum power consumption of 24 W.
